Hello, everybody!
This is The Colonel, one of the announcers for Houston Roller Derby. This page is the welcome and posting page for items related to Roller Derby and our new podcasts.
Just for the record, the podcasts and this page are not affiliated with Houston Roller Derby, but Houston Roller Derby will be the main league we'll be reporting and commenting on. We'll also post commentary and podcasts regarding other leagues we have access to. We'll mostly comment in a roundtable type of fashion about teams, players, leagues, and the general rise of Women's Roller Derby throughout the nation. At times we'll have interviews with people affiliated witth different Derby leagues, and we hope to, over time, create an oral history of current Roller Derby events.
That being said, please support your local Roller Derby league(s) in any way possible! Volunteer, go to a bout, donate an item for a fundraiser, or just wear a t-shirt! One of the reasons this sport os better than the rest is that it's based on grass-roots efforts from top to bottom.
